12 idioms about Money [Infographic]
This is a Money Infographic on different idioms of Money which was created by grammar.net. It’s about time someone comes up with one to describe all the different variations about what money is called. I’m sure that there are about a thousand more ways you can call money. It should be noted that alot of these are very Americanised so I’m sure that there are Irish, English, Kiwi, Australian or even Canadian idioms for Money.
Some of the best one’s I’ve heard before include:
- Wonga (from England, think there’s a pay day loans company with that name). This is a very southern English name
- Dollar Dazzlers (From Australia means something costs around $1).
- Greenbacks (from the US only country in the world that doesn’t have colour coded money.
- Moolah (origin unknown to me, maybe someone can share some thoughts on that one)
I’m sure there are plenty others about the place!
